  • Studying trigonometry and general solutions of the triangle
  • Studying the circle

Sequential Mathematics Course IV (Pre-Calculus)

Grades 9-12

This course will provide the student with a strong background in calculus and analytic geometry. A strong emphasis is placed on the use of the graphing calculator (TI-82) for the analysis of a variety of functions.

  • Graphing of a variety of functions
  • Analyzing the effects of graphical transformations
  • Determining solutions to polynomial functions
  • Solving systems of equations
  • Introducing limits, continuity, and the derivative
  • Applying the deriviative

Sequential Mathematics Course V (Advanced Placement Calculus AB)

Grades 9-12

This course is equivalent to the first semester of college calculus.

  • Analyzing graphs with the aid of technology
  • Exploring the concepts of limits and continuity
  • Studying the concepts of derivative and integral geometrically, numerically, and analytically

Advanced Placement Statistics

Grades 9-12

  • This course is a college-level course equivalent to one semester of non-calculus based statistics.
  • Exploring data: observing patterns and pattern deviation
  • Planning a study: deciding what and how to measure
  • Anticipating patterns: producing models using probability and simulation
  • Statistical inference: confirming models
