Greene County students in grades 5-12 performed in the world premier of “River of Dreams” on two weekends in May at the Catskill High School Auditorium. The musical is based on the book, “River of Dreams” by renowned children’s author and illustrator Hudson Talbott.
“River of Dreams” is produced by the Greene Arts Foundation. Casey Biggs, president of the Greene Arts Foundation, has a career that spans thirty-three years as a professional actor and director. A graduate of the famed Juilliard School, he studied in the program directed by John Houseman and later joined Houseman’s Acting Company where he toured the county and Europe performing the classics. He has starred in numerous films and television series.
The professional creative staff also includes director David Taylor Little who has relocated to Greene County from his home in NYC, composer and lyricist Frank Cuthbert, and BearFly Designs, founded by Emmy Award winner Rita Carver and lighting designer John Carver.
