Catskill-NY – Calling all chocolate lovers, chocoholics, and connoisseurs: the 1st annual Chocolate Festival 2010 will be held March 13, 2010 between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. at the Catskill Middle/High School, Catskill, NY. The event is sponsored by and will benefit Catskill Communities That Care, a community coalition that promotes healthy, drug-free youth.
Chocolate Festival 2010 participants will include a wide variety of local chocolatiers and chocolate artisans, and may include restaurants, bakeries, convenience stores, chocolatiers, catering companies, businesses, clubs organizations, moms, dads, grandparents, children, and others. Visitors of the festival will be able to taste the wares of vendors. Guests will also be able to purchase their favorite chocolates from participating vendors. Vendors are invited to sell candy, baked goods, chocolate molds, cooking utensils, cakes, hot chocolate, ice cream, ceramic eggs, candy dishes, cookbooks, illustrations, recipes, lollypops, chocolate and anything that Chocolate Lovers might buy. Just in time for Easter shopping, chocolate bunnies will magically appear. Or, while browsing the vendors, balloons, children’s activities and vendors, look out for the Easter Bunny!
Seeking Chocolate Contestants! Catskill Communities That Care invites YOU to Take the Chocolate Challenge! Contestants can compete in amateur or professional categories for Best of Taste, Best of Show or People’s Choice. Children and young people baking with their parents or other caring adult can enter the Chocolate Cupcakes Contest. During the festival, The Candyman Chocolates and MOD Gourmet Café will delight the festival goers with their culinary demonstrations!
If you are a chocoholic you cannot afford to miss this event, and snap up some Easter treats into the bargain!
